The Story Nook

When the last workshop window went dark, Pip thought the North Pole had finished for the day.

Tansy’s job was to pack winter craft kits. Each kit needed blue paper, a silver star, a spool of ribbon, and three wooden snowflakes.

On Christmas Eve, the North Pole had a plan for almost everything. There was a plan for loading presents.

Moss loved the Reindeer Ranch. He loved the crunchy snow beneath his hooves. He loved the soft brushes hanging beside the stalls.

Pep Peppermint had been trusted with an important delivery: one enormous jug of cocoa for the workshop's afternoon break.

Overnight, snow covered the Reindeer Ranch fence. It covered the practice cones.

Mabel found the package behind the Mail Station's sorting bench. It was small, wrapped in blue paper, and tied with yellow string.

Mrs. Claus knew Tuesday would be busy. She had biscuits to bake, a story to record, and a new winter quilt to finish.

The smallest bell in the Reindeer Ranch had a surprisingly loud voice. Ting! It was waiting on a bench for Rowan to fasten it to a new practice harness.

Every evening, the Toy Factory became a little quieter. The saws stopped first. Then the carts stopped rattling.

Juniper had a new Christmas Eve job. She was the helper at the Backup Plan Cupboard. It stood beside Mission Control, painted red, with a brass handle and six very tidy shelves.

After Santa's sleigh left, the Village grew still. The loading carts were parked. The harness hooks were empty.
