What Happens When a Toy Doesn't Pass Inspection?
Before a toy leaves Santa's Toy Factory, it visits the Quality Check Station.
Before a toy leaves Santa's Toy Factory, it visits the Quality Check Station.
This is where Toy Inspectors test buttons, wheels, doors, pieces, sounds, and all the other things that are supposed to work.
Sometimes a toy passes immediately.
Sometimes an inspector says, "Hmm. This needs another look."
That does not mean the toy is bad.
Maybe a wheel is wobbly. Maybe a puzzle piece is missing. Maybe a stuffed animal needs one more stitch. Maybe a toy robot keeps saying "BANANA" when it is supposed to say "HELLO."
When that happens, the toy gets a bright repair tag and travels to the Fix-It Bench.
The elves inspect the problem, make a repair, and send the toy through Quality Check again.
There is no Naughty Toy Bin.
There is no giant red stamp that says FAILURE.
At Santa's Toy Factory, a problem simply means there is something to work on.
Head Toy Inspector Pip Gearbox says it this way:
"We don't expect every toy to be perfect the first time. We expect our elves to pay attention and keep trying."
That rule works pretty well outside the Toy Factory too.
