Mrs. Claus' Corner

Hello from my desk at the North Pole! You probably hear a lot about Santa this time of year. He has the red suit, the sleigh, the famous laugh, and a team of reindeer who can fly. Very showy.

There is no rule requiring every cookie to look the same. In fact, I strongly support the cookie with seventeen sprinkles sitting next to the cookie with approximately four hundred.

No actual snowmen were harmed in the making of this cocoa. We checked. ⏎

There are certain words you never expect to hear at the North Pole. “We’re out of candy canes” is one of them.

I have a North Pole rule that surprises people: The plan is allowed to change. We make a lot of plans here.

Sprinkles have never once remained only on the food at the North Pole. Accept this before beginning and everyone will be happier.

Every North Pole operation needs an emergency plan. Mine is very sophisticated. It takes five minutes.

December dinner does not have to be shaped like a snowflake to count as festive. Sometimes the most magical dinner is simply the one everyone will eat.

People sometimes ask what my mornings look like at the North Pole. They are not quiet. I usually start with cocoa and the overnight reports. Reindeer Ranch sends me the morning training update.

Santa is wonderful at being Santa. But he does not do Christmas alone. The reindeer train all year. The Toy Factory elves build and test. The Mail Station sorts mountains of letters.

One December afternoon, the Toy Factory manager came into my office with news nobody wanted to hear.

I would like to clear up a rumor. There is no Perfect Christmas Department at the North Pole.

When most of the North Pole Village gets quiet, another team is just getting started. Meet the Night Shift.

Christmas Eve is one of the busiest nights of my year, and no, I do not spend it sitting beside the fireplace waiting for Santa to come home.

I have baked thousands of cookies. Possibly millions. You would think that means I never mess them up.

There is something I want every child who visits the North Pole Village to know. You belong here.
